Spotlight on Ellis Bridals
Ellis Bridals, founded in 1912 in London, has been creating luxury bridal gowns for women for over a century.
On a January day in 1910, Ada Ellis walked down the aisle in the very first Ellis bridal gown, the distinctive yet elegant style stood out in the early 20th century and women of England couldn’t get enough! Demand grew quickly as women wanted an original Ellis gown. Knowing that you should work surrounded by what you love, Ada opened the first Ellis studio in the 1960’s in Central London. Ellis Bridals quickly established themselves at the forefront of British bridal-wear.
Family has always been a main theme for Ellis, Ada and her husband Sam created and raised the brand and through the years has always stayed within the Ellis family, honouring Ada’s wishes. Regine Ellis and her son James have become the co-creators of the Ellis legacy. Now over 100 years old, Ellis continues to be at the forefront of British bridal-wear and they continue to inspire the design process.
Ellis promise to honour the confidence of the bride, “Your wedding dress should feel like you; a design that quintessentially expresses and enhances your individual beauty, having you feeling feminine and understatedly sensual.” Ellis aim to create modern and creative gowns, perfect for their brides.
